Nine members of a local hiking club namely Giri, Hari, Indira, Jaya, Kalyani, Lalit, Madan, Nitin and Oindrila are sitting on nine chairs equally spaced around a circular table. They are to form three teams for a summer hike event. Each team should have at least one experienced hiker. Exactly three of them are experienced in the group. During the meeting among the nine members the following points were discussed. Nitin, who is a novice hiker, suggested that it is possible to form the three teams without any personal bias if they start from any chair randomly selected and form the first group by including persons sitting on three consecutive chairs starting from the randomly selected chair, followed by the second group consisting of persons sitting on next three consecutive chairs, and so on. Hari, the founder of the club found the suggestion put forth by Nitin a valid one and supported the idea although if the teams are so formed, Hari will not be in the same group with Indira. None among Giri, Nitin and Madan can be in the group with Indira if the teams are formed as per Nitin's suggestion. One of the experienced hikers is sitting immediately next to the right of Hari. Madan is sitting adjacent to neither Hari nor Nitin. Giri was sitting two places to the left of Jaya. Oindrila and Kalyani can never be together in the same group.
